This position is for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
- teach students through lectures, discussions, PBL, and demonstrations;
- design, write, and use lesson plans given appropriate resources;
- implement appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials and equipment to ensure comprehension of learning styles and student needs;
- establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives to students;
- prepare students for standardized tests;
- employ technology practices to strengthen the instructional process;
- help students assess and enhance their study methods and habits;
- produce formal and informal testing to evaluate student success;
- prepare classroom to enhance learning and to aid in physical, social and emotional development of students;
- control student behavior in agreement with the student handbook;
- ensure necessary and reasonable measures are taken to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities;
- establish communication rapport with parents, students, principals and teachers through meetings and conferences;
- gather, manage maintain all reports, records and other documents required;
- be active in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and assist in staff committees as necessary.
- assist in analyzing student test data and designing interventions to improve student language acquisition
- help administer Ohio State Test, or other tests school administers
- collaborate with the EL and SPED Department to provide appropriate education to the students in these departments
- maintain compliance-related data regarding student documentation, performance, and progress
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Ohio State teaching license (professional, long-term sub, etc) required
